Simmering Spices Hydrosol
Wake up to a skin care routine that’s simple and fresh for your face and body throughout the day. Simmering Spices Hydrosol is a crisp HYDROSOL WATER, steam distilled in a mulling fashion through a Copper Alembic, infusing delicious fruits and whole spices. The scent of autumn reminds us of comforting aromas of fallen leaves, laid-back sweaters, and warm cider.
Starting with sweet red apples, orange core and rind, sliced ginger, cinnamon sticks, warm and woodsy tones of clove, star anise and cardamom. West Indian Bay leaves, hand-picked and dried from our own trees, highly spiced with toasty notes. Aloe and glycerin for skin softening and moisture.
Formulating hydrosols are somewhat of an art, a reverse evaporation. Hydrosols are gently steamed distilled waters of fresh or dried herbs and flowers through the process of saturation using a copper Alembic Still. The heated water vapors rise up from the pot filled with plants, stems and leaves while grasping condensed liquid and natural aromas at its purest form.
Hydrosols do not require any assistance of additional flavors, colors, alcohol or additives as the process of distillation affords them their own bouquet. Hydrosol waters are safe to use as needed any time of day. Mild enough for use on sensitive skin, adults and children. The essential oils from the distillate are softer, subtle and gentler than bottled essential oil due to the high volume of water content to extracted bark, twigs, roots, petals, herbs and flowers.
Hydrosols make a wonderful toner, use after shower and before applying makeup, remove excess makeup remaining after washing your face or apply to a cold compress, freshen the air, linens, baby changing table, and bath water.
Directions: When misting hydrosol after shower or bath on dewy skin, there is no need to pat dry, follow up with a moisturizer. Before spraying on face, close eyes and crease lips as the taste of plant and essentials may be unfavorable. Spritz far away from your face to receive just a light coat.
Safety: This product is non edible. Do not ingest. Do not use on birds, amphibians, or aquatic animals. Only use hydrosols with ingredients safe for pets. Consult your veterinarian. Does not contain dyes, alcohol or chemically produced fragrance. Hydrosol is non-irritating to sensitive skin. Best stored in a cool environment. Can be refrigerated. Shelf life is 12 months. If appearance of hydrosol changes color, discard. Do not leave cap open and hydrosol exposed to air.
