Decoupage Eggs in Wool Basket

It’s time to dress the table for spring. Hollow-blown, natural real farm eggs in delightful decoupage napkin prints, nestled in a needle felt bird nest with walnut wool roving, currant, fern, autumn jasper colors and wisps of Wensleydale locks.  

Each shell, carefully blown to remove the egg, thoroughly cleaned, sanitized and dried. They are painted with acrylic to prepare for decoupage and coated with a gloss finish. The process is a beautiful craft, delicate and unique in their own way. 

Hollowed decoupage eggs can last for years when properly stored in a cool, dry place. I prefer a shoe box with paper towel in between each egg.
